In the interest of simplicity we have just two license types; a Site License and Distribution License.
Site License
A site license gives you the rights to use the product at one location, or company. You can use it as many time as you want, in as many solutions as you want. What you can’t do is re-sell or re-distribute any solutions that use the product. If you are a developer, doing custom FileMaker work for you multiple clients, you will need to purchase a site license for every client who uses the product in your custom solutions. Of course you client can purchase the license as well, and in fact this is the preferred method.
Distribution License
A Distribution license gives you the rights to use the product in an single solution that you sell to multiple customers. This works really well for vertical market solutions. This license does not give your customers the rights to re-distribute the solution to other end-users or developers.
