Here is a little preview of what I will be presenting on at the Developers conference in 2 weeks. I am working on a platform for developing interfaces in FileMaker with Web technologies. In this example I have embedded parts of the Yahoo Interface Library into a FileMaker file, and used them to display a really cool little data grid, or portal as we FileMaker folks like to call it.

After the Spawn, I got to work building a Ribbit phone for FileMaker. Here are the results. Very Cool!

Remember with Ribbit you can call to any phone and any phone can call any other phone. Similar to Skype but embedded into your FileMaker system.

I am here at the Ribbit Spring Spawn, learning about the Ribbit Flex Component.

Ribbit advertises themselves as Silicon Valley's first phone company. They have developed a Flex Component that allows you build a full featured VOIP featured Phone into any web site.

The event kicked off with Ted Patrick of Adobe, giving his Flex 101 talk. Then we dove into the code. Flex / Actionscript is a pleasure to use.

Version 1.5 of the MBS plugin was released yesterday. Check out the press release for more information.

This release adds several new features including the very cool Mac OSX Transitions.
