Todd Geist has been exploring issues related to migrating from FileMaker 6 to FileMaker 7 and beyond since before there was a FileMaker 7. (Back then it was affectionately referred to as FileMaker "Next".) FileMaker published an extensive white paper title Migration Foundations and Methodologies with the release of FileMaker 7. Todd was one of the authors of that paper. It is still available from FileMaker's web site.

In addition to writing about the subject, he has lead migration trainings all over this country and in in the UK. He has also delivered presentations on Migrating to FileMaker 7 at various conferences such including MacWorld UK.
